A campaign called “Get Your Dream Job” is aiming to fill vacant positions in the booming spa and beauty industry.

Established in 2017, the campaign is a collaboration between the International SPA Association (ISPA) and the Beauty Changes Lives Foundation. The former represents health and wellness establishments in over 70 countries, while the latter supports aspiring beauty and wellness practitioners through scholarships. The campaign aids schools and salons by producing promotional materials that can be used to recruit potential wellness and beauty professionals.

In August, the yearly show of the ISPA highlighted “Get Your Dream Job.” The event featured treatments, new spas, and trends in the industry.

The ISPA reported that spas in the United States have 187 million visits yearly in almost 22,000 areas. Because of the high demand for spa services, the “Get Your Dream Job” campaign hopes to fill 30,000 jobs in the industry.

According to ISPA president Lynne McNees, the spa and beauty business can now offer stability among employees. Lynne is positive that “Get Your Dream Job” will effectively inform people about the perks of working in salons, clubs, and spas to entice potential applicants searching for a meaningful career.

Global hairdressing organization Intercoiffure /ɪnˈtɚ kwɑˈfjuɚ/ is another institution that supports “Get Your Dream Job.” In April, heads of Beauty Changes Lives Foundation led the opening of the Intercoiffure 2018 Spring Atelier [at-l-YEY] event. They urged the beauty industry to partake in the campaign.

Intercoiffure is now working hand in hand with the ISPA and Beauty Changes Lives Foundation to increase the number of licensed professionals in the spa and beauty industry.
