Hello! My name is Marie. I studied European Languages at the University of the Philippines. I taught French, Italian, and English in a private language school. I have also been a private tutor for kids, teenagers, and adults for almost 20 years now. I have recently worked for call centers for American and Australian companies for a total of more than 4 years. I am confident that my understanding of the nuances of languages makes me very effective in teaching English as a second or foreign language. I like many things and I have varied interests. I am fond of reading, and I like different kinds of literature. I read novels, poetry, magazines, blogs, autobiographies, internet articles, comics, and manga. I also love watching movies, TV series, documentaries, cartoons, and anime. Another one of my hobbies is arts and crafting. I make fashion jewelry and accessories, recycled paper art, and even a little origami. I listen to all types of music: pop, classical, Broadway, new wave, metal, rap, rock, country, new age, and also folk music. I also love cooking, and I always experiment on combining different ingredients together to make a unique dish. I enjoy talking to people a lot, and I love learning from them. I have a drive to learn new things, and am equally passionate in sharing my knowledge with others. I believe that with determination, and hard work, we can always be better.
