I’m May. I majored in Bachelor of Science in Nursing but teaching is one of my real passions. I have a wide experience in teaching which started way back when I was in university where I tutored secondary level students in Math, English and Science. After that, I got a job as an ESL teacher and have given me the opportunity to handle both children and adults in man-to- man, group and online class settings. Part of the teaching includes assisting them in getting good results for oral proficiency exams as well as helping them further their careers by training and practicing them for job interviews. Prior to teaching, I had an American Accent Training and a great deal of exposure in speaking to foreigners especially Americans. These have helped me a lot in attaining a good command of English. For leisure activities, I enjoy listening to music and reading books, mostly novels. I also try to squeeze some time for my friends so we can watch a movie or have a chat over a cup of coffee and catch up on things. I’ve always believed that to be a well- rounded person, one should have time for oneself and time for others too. As a teacher I have always believed that the key to teaching well is to be perceptive to the needs of your students and to be able to put those needs as a priority. It is important that the teacher and the student work together towards a mutual goal. Everyone can be good at English so why don’t you start becoming one now?
