This summer, the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 will happen in the United States. It is not the World Cup for national teams. This international soccer tournament will include 32 professional teams from around the world. The matches will take place in 11 American cities, including Philadelphia, which will host six group stage matches and a quarterfinal match on July 4.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino encouraged Americans to buy tickets while promoting the tournament. The event is created, in part, to promote next year’s World Cup. The 2026 World Cup will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. And in this tournament, 48 national teams will participate.

For this summer’s event, FIFA is giving $1 million (about ¥143.4 million) to each of the 11 cities to help host matches. The Club World Cup will start on June 15 and end on July 13. The final match will be in New Jersey. Two American teams, Inter Miami and Seattle Sounders, will join, along with 12 European teams, including Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and Manchester City.
