A couple named Amir Khan and Kat Warren were stuck on the Eiffel Tower together with other visitors. Khan realized they might be stuck on the tower longer. This made him decide to propose to Warren right there. And what was the answer? It was a yes. According to Khan, Warren always wanted to get a marriage proposal on or under the Eiffel Tower.

Originally, Khan planned to propose to Warren in a Paris Garden. The plan includes a romantic dinner on the River Seine. But the Eiffel Tower lifts were temporarily not available because of a man who climbed the tower.  As they were temporarily stranded at the tower, he decided to surprise Warren. In an interview, Warren said, “He had a pretty good chance of me saying ‘Yes’ all along.”

The climber was guided by firefighters as he went down. Then, he was arrested by the police. According to Alice Beunardeau, communications director for the Eiffel Tower, the man was found between the tower’s second and third floors. The man was said to be carrying a poster about American singer-songwriter Billie Eilish.
