HURRICANE JULIO HEADING STRAIGHT FOR GUADALAJARA
Guadalajara is preparing for Hurricane Julio, the tenth hurricane of this year’s hurricane season. The category 3 hurricane is expected to make landfall tomorrow morning.
Hurricane Julio currently has 120 mph winds, but it is expected to weaken greatly within the next 24 hours. However, the hurricane is still expected to bring a great amount of rain that could have devastating effects on Guadalajara and nearby cities. Authorities are expecting flooding and heavy traffic on highways and some streets due to ongoing construction. Local officials advise people to remain at home if possible.
