Many Japanese students say I have to clean my room, but this sounds like a child. In English, my room means my bedroom. I have to clean my house/apartment is the correct way to say it.
X I have to clean my room. = I have to clean my bedroom.
O I have to clean my apartment.
多くの日本人の生徒は、 「I have to clean my room.」 といいますが、これは子どもっぽく聞こえる表現です。英語では、「my room」は寝室を表します。 「I have to clean my house / apartment」 が正しい表現です。
